Sue's Date, Apple & Oat Loaf

A deliciously, simple and wholesome treat to enjoy with a hot cuppa.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp butter / margarine
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2/3 c milk
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 chopped apple
  • 1/2 c rolled oats
  • 1/4 c chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup wholemeal SR flour

Method

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.

Add beaten egg then stir in chopped dates, apple, cinamon and walnuts.

Add milk gradually, while folding in flour. When combined pour mixture into greased & lined loaf pan.

Bake for about 35 - 40 mins and enjoy!
