National Diabetes Week 10 - 16 July 2016

Type 2 Diabetes is a serious disease with many associated complications. In Queensland more than 93 000 people with diabetes are undiagnosed. Symptoms may include:

  • increased thirst and urination
  • increased hunger
  • headaches
  • blurred vision
  • skin infections, itching
  • poor wound healing
  • feeling tired and lethargic
  • leg cramps
  • mood swings

If you experience any of these symptoms, arrange a visit to your GP for further assessment. Diabetes is treatable and early detection minimises the risk of serious complications.
